About the aid stations
The race takes place in the area of Elati and Pertouli in the Municipality of Pyli. With the start and finish point in Elati, the route traverses the beautiful fir forests and alpine landscapes of Koziakas, the mountain of Asclepius.
The 25km race will include 5 aid stations, while the 9km race will have 2 aid stations. More information about their locations is provided below.
Aid Stations for the 25km Race
Aid Station 1: Vlacha
The first station is located in the settlement of Vlacha, 4 km from the starting point, at an elevation of 1100m.
Aid Station 2: Pertouli Ski Center
The second station is located at the base of the Pertouli Ski Center, at the 10th km mark and at an elevation of 1170m. There is a time limit of 2 hours and 30 minutes here. This location is easily accessible for the athletes' companions and anyone who wants to watch the race.
Aid Station 3: Koziakas Shelter
This station is located at the Koziakas Shelter, at an elevation of 1740 meters, and at a distance of 14 km.
Aid Station 4: Elatakos
This station is at the exit from the Chounes (alpine valleys), at an elevation of 1630m, and at a distance of 19 km.
Aid Station 5: Papadia
The fifth and last station before the descent to Elati is located at Papadia, at 1440m, and at the 21st km mark. From here, the route is all downhill. From here, the route is continuously downhill.
Aid Stations for the 9km Race
Aid Station 1: Gouva
The first station is at the 3rd km mark, at an elevation of 1090m, before the climb to Thira begins.
Aid Station 2: Papadia
